March 26. Sunday Night. Hi Journey. I am getting lazy or growing crazy. Journey, I like surfing the internet as much as the next girl, but after site-sifting for eight hours yesterday and another four this afternoon I'm here to tell you I don't mind if I don't see the initials www all next week. Late Friday Brady rang up Joni and let her know his web guru buddy would have some down-time that first week in April and if we still wanted him to remodel our website on the cheap we should sit down for a face-to-face and clue him on our needs for the site. So, Tuesday I'll meet with staff, then Thursday we'll meet with Brady, his friend and (of course) Joni. You just know this is one meeting she won't miss. And why not? She's loyal, plus her newsletter idea will be a major site anchor. I need to keep her brain happy. And trust me, Journey, spending an hour percolating next to her Brady will keep her happy. Yes, Journey—it'll keep her brain happy, too. Besides, it's not like I'm paying her OT. She's on salary; anyway, employees with Joni's work ethic don't go home until the job's done. No, the big problem is reconciling the B-B and B-C faces of our business on the site. Sure, I can post a couple dozen testimonials for our home remodeling business, but my client-tank is pegging ‘E' on the B-B component. An answer will come. I just need to step back tonight, and not force it; just back-burner it until Tuesday and let the team help me out. What a concept, I know. And not a word from Eddie since last Wednesday, Journey. He called after I flew in from Sisi's (alright already--Carm'sX100, OK??) and rambled on and on about how busy he was and how the big new F150 pickup had some problem with the tires and so he had to take it back to the shop and the dealership loaned him a new Freestar minivan to drive and he felt just like his mom tooling around town in it and blah blah blah. |

He's completely self-obsessed. Plus I think he might be cheating on me. No, I don't have proof. But why else does he keep blowing me off? But I'm not going to wait around forever, Journey. There were one or two Possibles at the BizTap mixer last Thursday. Not that I'm into salesguys, or anything, but at least they can carry a conversation. |
