November 3. Thursday Night. Hi Journey. It sounds weird but I'm happy with my work life. Most days. 3 years into this owning-my-own company gig and I usually feel quite vigorous but I swear Journey that there are days optimism can only take me so far. This morning I was sitting in a 4 year old home, easily worth two million dollars. They have a Bentley in the garage. A Bentley! The owner, Mrs. Moyen, wants to redo the bathroom. The guest bathroom. Of course she spec'd it out when they built the place. But since then she's realized that a sunken tub is just plain lousy for her mother's needs. Her mom is 84, and rapidly heading from the walker she's using now toward a wheelchair. I suggested she tear out the glass completely, put in a simple ADA compliant shower stall and eschew the tub altogether. Then we'll add a nice little make-up nook with plenty of light that her mom can use in the morning and not have to tie-up Mrs. M's own make-up table in her bathroom. |

Mrs. Moyen was thrilled. Me, I came home tonight to my one bedroom apartment here at Whitby that's about the size of Mrs. Moyen's great room that she never uses. I'm so sick of driving my 96 Corolla I could puke. Picked up the Ace the MBA Exam book and poured over it from Seven until a little after Ten. B-o-r-i-n-g. It's not that they don't have some great business review stuff in there; they do. I can see even from the review that if I do ever go for my MBA I'll learn tons of good business theory. | |||||||
