But at least the trip to San Francisco to visit Mattie will be on the company. That's enough of a bonus for me. Better, even. Wish I'd dreamed this up sooner, before the damn snake slunk back into her life. At least there's no real debt on the business. Not much, anyway. I know people who have bigger MasterCard balances than my $15,000 SBA loan. I hate being in debt, and other than that SBA loan and a couple grand floating on my AMEX card there's no real debt to speak of. Did have a couple of nice surprises waiting for me once I shut MBA book and checked my email a few minutes ago, though. That crazy little sis of mine has herself in a bit of a jam in Maldives . Seems like an irregularity with her passport has her grounded there until she gets it straightened out. Needs some chocolate bars freighted out to her. Chocolate is the best bureaucratic lubricant there is, of course. Plus, Jim Hanson phoned up just a few minutes ago. He's that cousin of Joni's that I met last Fourth of July when we both volunteered at the Jaycees fireworks stand. We got on well, but his company immediately relocated him to New Jersey for a four month assignment. He's just back. Out of the blue, he wants to go out on Saturday. |

I said yes, of course. He made me laugh with his jokes last summer. I could use a few of those this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes, Journey. Goodnight. |
